Dayang’s Yamaha Aerox 155-rival VRC 150T unveiled in China

Dayang, the Chinese two-wheeler manufacturer has unveiled its new adventure scooter, the VRC 150T, in its home country. While the design and concept of the scooter are similar to the Honda ADV 150, the displacement and performance numbers are also close to the Yamaha Aerox 155 maxi sport scooter that’s available in India.

One of the main highlights of the Dayang VRC 150T is its rugged and do-it-all design. The muscular front apron houses a pair of bold LED headlamps along with a tall and purposeful windscreen. At the rear, sitting on its sleek and angular tail is a single-piece seat with a stepped design and a chunky grab rail. However, what makes it look a little disproportionate is a pair of 12-inch wheels at both ends, as against the 14-13-inch combination in its bigger sibling, the ADV 350.

Propelling the VRC 150T is a 149cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 16.1bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 14.6Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. These numbers a marginally higher than the Aerox 155’s performance figures. Dayang claims that the VRC maxes out at 115kmph. As for the cycle parts, suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks and dual springs while stopping power comes from a single disc at both ends.

Dayang won’t be entering the Indian market anytime soon, which means there’s no possibility of the VRC 150T coming to our shores.
