About Hyundai New Tucson
The new-generation Hyundai Tucson has been introduced globally for a while now. It is soon expected to make its way to the Indian shores. Here’s what to expect.
In terms of styling, the new-gen Hyundai Tucson will get a new front grille with integrated LED DRLs. Other changes are to include a new reworked bumper with a wider air dam, redesigned headlamps, angular body cladding, 19-inch alloy wheels, and new graphics for the tail lights along with an LED strip running across the boot lid.
The interiors of the model are expected to get a massive touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity options, navigation, and connected car tech. It is likely to have an all-black upholstery, touch controls for the AC vents, a new gear lever, ambient lighting, and a digital instrument cluster.
The new Tucson is likely to carry the existing 2.0-litre petrol and 2.0-litre diesel powertrains. The transmission options are to include manual as well as automatic gearboxes. It is expected to be introduced sometime in 2022 and will rival the likes of the Jeep Compass, Citroen C5 Aircross, and Volkswagen T-Roc.
