Yamaha has announced another update on the YZF-R15S Version 3.0 in India. The ‘Unibody seat’ variant of the Super Sports model will now be available in a new shade of ‘Matte Black’ colour as well. The new paint scheme is in addition to the already available Racing Blue colour in the R15S. Pricing for the YZF-R15S Version 3.0 model range starts at Rs.1.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Amalgamated with brand’s racing DNA of Exciting, Stylish and Sporty motorcycles, the YZF-R15S Version 3.0 in ‘Matte Black’ will retain the standard features and specifications of the model which offers a 155 cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve, fuel-injected engine that uses innovative technologies like Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) and Assist & Slipper (A&S) Clutch.

In terms of features, the motorcycle is similar to the YZF-R15 V4.0, although this variant misses a traction control system and a quick-shifter. The feature list on the YZF-R15S V3.0 comes with a multi-function LCD instrument cluster with a gear-shift indicator, dual-channel ABS, assist and slipper clutch, and a side-stand indicator with engine cut-off function. The hardware continues to use a Deltabox frame and an aluminium swingarm. The suspension tasks are handled by telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock. The braking hardware comprises single discs on both wheels.
