Nissan Kicks Summary
The upcoming Nissan Kicks will mark the start of fresh product launches in India. Although the product line up will be global, it will be tweaked to suit Indian conditions. The SUV is based on Renault’s MO platform which also underpins the Duster. The new model might also replace the slow selling Terrano SUV in India.
Although the technical details have not been revealed for now, it is believed that the Kicks SUV might be powered by a 1.5-litre engine in petrol as well as diesel engine options. The vehicle will get Traction Control System (TCS), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA), and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).
On the design aspect, the Kicks SUV gets modern Renault style elements in the form of a sloping roof design, roof rails and faux bash plates. The vehicle also gets Nissan’s V-Motion grille, boomerang headlights and taillights, and bold wheel arches which gives it a masculine appeal. The vehicle is expected to be offered in a range of seven exterior colors, along with five two-tone combinations.
As for the interior, the SUV is expected to be offered with dual tone upholstery, a seven-inch infotainment system with smartphone connectivity and part-digital instrument cluster. The vehicle also gets a flat-bottom steering and automatic climate control. It is quite spacious on the interior and claims to offer one of the largest loading areas in its class.
