Kawasaki recently introduced the 2022 edition of the Ninja 400 in India. After being absent from the Indian market for almost two years, the supersport has returned with a price tag of Rs 4.99 lakh. If you think that’s too hefty a price and are considering its similarly-priced alternatives, here are your options.

Honda CB500X

The Honda CB500X costs Rs 5.80 lakh. Although that’s Rs 80,000 more than the Ninja 400, the CB500X brings more versatility to the table with comfortable ergonomics, long-travel suspension, and higher ground clearance. It’s powered by an extremely refined 471cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled mill that makes 49.63bhp and 43.2Nm.

Those who want a touring motorcycle that’s cheaper than the CB500X can consider the CFMoto 650MT. The motorcycle has a beefy visual appeal with a tall windscreen, engine guard, saddle stays, and upside-down forks up front. It is propelled by a 649cc, twin-cylinder motor that makes an impressive 55.65bhp and 54.4Nm. Also, it gets a sizeable 18-litre fuel tank.

If your taste is a little quirky, the Benelli Leoncino 500 is just Rs 20,000 more expensive than the Ninja 400. It boasts a unique scrambler design with a round headlamp, a curvy fuel tank which blends with the floating tail section, and there are a lot of small yet attractive visual elements. Moreover, it runs on a sweet-sounding 500cc twin-cylinder mill that produces 46.8bhp and 46Nm.
