Release date
The all-electric EQB SUV is likely to be launched in India in mid or late 2022.
Variants
It is likely to be available in two variants in the country, namely the EQB 300 4MATIC and EQB 350 4MATIC. Having said that, Mercedes-Benz is planning to introduce an entry-level front-wheel-drive variant named EQB 250 globally which might also come to India.
Range, charging and performance
Both the EQB variants feature a 66.5kWh battery pack and a dual-electric motor layout. However, the power output figures vary depending on the variant. For example, the EQB 300 makes 225bhp and 390Nm while the EQB 350 can develop 288bhp and 520Nm. Besides, the electric SUV can provide up to 423km of range on a full charge, as per WLTP.
According to Mercedes-Benz, while using an 11kW charger, the EQB can be charged from 10 to 100 per cent in 5.45 hours. On the other hand, a 100kW fast-charger claims to top it up from 10 to 80 per cent in 32 minutes. Meanwhile, the top speed is rated at 160kmph for both.
Features
Mercedes-Benz offers five and seven-seat configuration options in the EQB. Other features include two MBUX 10.25-inch displays, dual-zone temperature control, an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), LED headlights and rear lights, ambient lighting, wireless charger, a panoramic sunroof, wheels between 18 or 19-inches and suchlike.
Price
The Mercedes-Benz EBQ could cost about 60 to 70 lakh.
