BMW G 310 RR India launch tomorrow – Here’s what we know so far

After what felt like a long wait, BMW is all set to launch the BMW G 310 RR in India tomorrow. Over the past several weeks, the company has been dropping nuggets of information about the bike. So, here’s a complete refresher of what we know so far.

Starting with the design, the new BMW G 310 RR could come with two paint schemes that include the iconic BMW Motorsport tricolour and the Triple Black paint scheme that we have seen in its stable mates. In addition to this, going by the teaser, there does not seem to be any major changes in terms of design.

In terms of hardware, BMW has not explicitly said anything about the adjustable suspension. However, the teaser shows fork tops with adjustable knobs, similar to what we saw on the TVS Apache RR 310 BTO. The German manufacturer has cut corners as its TVS counterpart comes with Road 5 tyres, this one makes do with a pair of Pilot Sports.

At its heart, the new G 310 RR will be powered by the same 312.7cc reverse-inclined liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine which makes 33bhp and 27.3Nm as the Apache RR 310.

We expect the motorcycle to be priced around Rs 2.85 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. However, it should be noted that in spite of its Rs 20,000 premium over the Apache, the G 310 RR will still be more affordable than its rivals, the KTM RC 390 and Ninja 300.
