Upcoming TVS Ronin images leaked ahead of launch on July 6

A few days ahead of its launch, images of the upcoming TVS Ronin have made their way to the internet. The images seem to be taken from the motorcycle’s brochure and reveal it in the metal. So here’s what can be seen.

TVS Ronin: Design

A fleeting glimpse might confuse what the Ronin is. The motorcycle seems to find a spot between a Scrambler and a café racer. In terms of design elements, it gets a round headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, flat side panel and a single-piece seat with a grab-rail at the back. We can see that the taillight and the indicators are placed below the seat with an exposed rear subframe. Other notable elements come in the form of curved fenders, dual-tone paint, a blacked-out engine and a large belly pan underneath, most likely made of plastic.

TVS Ronin: Features

The pictures hint at a round instrument cluster for the motorcycle. We expect the motorcycle to come with the TVS’s Smart Xonnect Bluetooth connectivity system. It should display incoming calls, SMS, email alerts and turn-by-turn navigation.

TVS Ronin: Chassis and Engine

The bike seems to be built on a new chassis. Suspension set up on the motorcycle includes a gold-coloured USD fork and monoshock at the back. It rides on multi-spoke alloy wheels that are shod with dual-purpose tyres. Meanwhile, braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends, likely with dual-channel ABS.

In terms of powertrain, the motorcycle is likely to get a new air- and an oil-cooled unit that will displace more than the Apache RTR 200 4V.
