In July, the Ducati Week 2022 was held in Italy where the Italian manufacturer announced the World Premiere 2023. In the upcoming unveiling series, Ducati will take the wraps off seven motorcycles, one of which could be the Monster SP.

Cementing this expectation is the recently leaked type approval document from Australia. The Monster SP has been added alongside the standard and the Plus model (available overseas). It will likely feature the same 973cc twin-cylinder motor with identical power figures as the other two variants – 111bhp and 93Nm.

That said, the SP trim could bring in more sophisticated hardware. For reference, Ducati could equip the Monster SP with Ohline USD front forks and Ohlins monoshock. Meanwhile, the Brembo braking hardware is likely to be retained. Moreover, the SP treatment could also bring in lighter parts, made of carbon fibre, for the Monster.

Currently, Ducati India offers the standard and Monster Plus in India. We expect the Italian bikemaker to offer a select number of Monster SP units, once launched here. Last but not least, among the seven new Ducati motorcycles to be revealed in the World Premiere, the Scrambler too could be on the charts.
