Tata Altroz select variants discontinued in India

Tata Motors has revised the variant line-up of the Altroz in India. Select variants of the car have been discontinued, while one has been added to the line-up. In addition to this, the manufacturer has also reintroduced the High Street Gold paint option for the car.

Tata Motors has discontinued the XZA (O) from the petrol options, while the XE, XZ Dark, and XZ (O) have been axed from the diesel options. Furthermore, the company has also added a new XT Dark Edition to the portfolio. As mentioned before, the car will now also be available in High Street Gold, alongside the already existing Opera Blue, Arcade Grey, Downtown Red, Avenue White, Cosmo Black, and Harbour Blue colour options.

In terms of powertrain, the Altroz is still offered with three engine options. There is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, along with a turbo-petrol option. In terms of diesel, there is a 1.5-litre unit. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and a DCT. While the manual option is standard throughout the range. The DCT can only be had with the naturally aspirated engine options.

In the domestic market, the Altroz takes on the likes of the Hyundai i20 and Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
