Mercedes-AMG is all set to launch the EQS 53 4Matic+ in India on August 24. Note that the company will be launching the standard EQS 580 in India during the upcoming festive season.

Considering that this is the first series production electric vehicle from the company’s performance wing, you can expect some good numbers. For instance, power output is rated at 649hp in the standard Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4Matic+. However, with the Dynamic Plus package, that number is up to 751hp in the Race Start mode. In the same breath, while the standard EQS 53 tops out at 220kmph the Dynamic Plus Means that the car can go up to 250kmph.

Powering the car is a 400V, 107.8kWh lithium-ion battery that can be charged at speeds of up to 200kW with a fast charger. Its range is said to be at least 579km, depending on the package selected. The company has also tweaked the car’s battery management to help it achieve better performance in Sport and Sport+ modes.

The car will get multi-link front and rear suspension, but AMG states it has reworked components that have “an influence on the driving dynamics”. Furthermore, the car will also come with numerous driving modes that come with suspension adjustments, power handling and battery management.

While the standard car is touted to be your ideal sedan for touring, MAG seems to have dialled things to eleven.
