Honda updates CBR250R with new features

Honda has updated its quarter-litre motorcycle – the CBR250R. For 2023, the company has given it new features and minor aesthetic changes.

These changes apply only to the Malaysian market as the Malaysian arm of Honda has launched the motorcycle. Thus, the CBR250R now gets separate function forks at the front from Showa. This is bound to improve the bike’s ride and handling abilities. While the overall design remains the same, the bike now gets an updated instrument cluster and a gear position indicator.

Powering the CBR250R is a 249cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that develops 27bhp of peak power and 23.4Nm of peak torque. While these numbers may not look extremely impressive, the bike is likely to perform extremely well as its kerb weight is just 144kg.

This facelifted CBR250R is priced at around Rs 4 lakh in the Malaysian market. For the Indian market, there’s the CB300R, so the CBR250R won’t be launched here.
