Royal Enfield Meteor 350 tops sales chart in the UK
The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has not just been finding a healthy number of buyers in India, but also overseas. As per the UK’s recently released sales numbers, in 2022, the Meteor is the best-selling full-size motorcycle in the country till now. By fetching 1,135 takers, it has dethroned the BMW R 1250 GS which led the sales chart until last year.

Due to its ability to tackle all types of terrain with utmost efficiency, the BMW R 1250 GS had been a huge sales success in the UK over the last couple of years. However, the simplicity and affordability of the Meteor 350 seem to have struck a chord with the riders in the country. It was launched there last year as the first offering based on Royal Enfield’s new ‘J’ platform and was followed by the introduction of the new Classic 350 and Hunter 350.
The motorcycle is exported to the UK from Royal Enfield’s Chennai facility in India. Even in its home country, the Meteor 350 has had a favourable response so far. Registering sales of around 8,000-10,000 units every month, it has consistently been the second best-selling model in India after the Classic 350. It’s also worth noting that this is the second RE to be leading the sales chart in the UK as the first one was Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
