SVITCH CSR 762 Latest Update

The CSR 762 will be the first electric motorcycle from Svitch that has built a name selling electric bycycles. The Gujarat based EV maker did have a soft launch for the CSR 762 back in November 2021, but the e-bike is yet to hit the roads. Currently in its certification stage, Svitch says its also working on establishing a strong dealer network and other ancillary arms for the final launch in the second half of 2022. The projected timelines for the CSR 762’s official launch is set for sometime between July to August. 

CSR 762 Price
Svitch is estimating the retail price for one of these to be in the ballpark of Rs 1.65 lakh. Svitch says with up to Rs 40,000 (tentative) FAME II subsidies, the expected price should be around Rs 1.25 lakh.

CSR 762 Features
The CSR 762 may feature all LED illumination, a fully digital console that should support standard features like Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, anti-theft alert, last-location tracking, crash alert, ride analytics etc. The EV is said get six riding modes – three basic riding modes, one parking assist mode, a reverse and a sports mode.

CSR 762 Powertrain
The CSR will house a 3kW motor with a peak output of 10kW with a a claimed top speed of 110kmph. The EV will be powered by a 3.7kWh NMC battery pack and a claimed range of 120km to the charge 

CSR Specifications
It uses a conventional telescopic fork and monoshock. The braking hardware comprises a single front and back disc from ByBre. The wheelbase will be1430 mm and the kerb weight of 155kg. It will also feature a sharper rake of 24 degrees and trail of 136mm. The seat height will be an accessible 780mm.

CSR Rivals
The CSR 762 will go up against the Tork Kratos and the Revolt RV400. But you also have other electric two-wheeler alternatives like the Ather 450X, Ola S1, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube Electric and Bounce Infinity E1.
