Volvo S60 vanishes from India’s website!

The Volvo S60, an entry-level model of Volvo in India, may have been discontinued, as the company’s Indian website seems to have removed it from its range of available cars. It has also been removed from the Swedish automaker’s mild-hybrid (MY) list, which further indicates that the S60 has been discontinued.

According to a trusted source, even the company’s US and UK websites have removed the model, which means that India is not the only nation where the 5-seater sedan’s production has been stopped. The Swedish carmaker has been tight-lipped about any official announcement; however, the removal of the sedan from the website suggests its discontinuation.

The latest model of the S60 came in January 2021. For the unaware, the S60 is available in three different variants (both petrol and diesel versions). The starting price of the car is ₹27 lakh (ex-showroom), and the top-end model costs ₹34 lakh (ex-showroom).

The S60 competes with vehicles like the Audi A4, Jaguar XE, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. It’s unclear as to what made the automaker remove the vehicle from the website, but we think that a drop in sales figures in 2021, according to market studies, could be one of the reasons behind the supposed discontinuation of the sedan.
