Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R SE is expected to launch in India in March 2023 in the expected price range of ₹ 20,00,000 to ₹ 22,00,000. Currently available bikes which are similar to Ninja ZX-10R SE are BMW S1000 RR, BMW S 1000 XR & Ducati Panigale V2. Another bike similar to Ninja ZX-10R SE is BMW S1000RR [2023] which is launching in December 2022 in India.
The ZX-10R is the pinnacle of engineering for team green, and the ZX-10RR was developed for those who wanted to go racing but couldn’t afford to experiment with their Ninja. The extra ‘R’ nets you a high-lift camshaft, DLC-coated tappets that have reduced friction, and stiffer valve springs to cope with the high-revving shenanigans the bike will surely be subject to. The wheels are lighter forged seven-spoke Marchesini units and shod with Pirelli Supercorsa SP tyres. All this ends with an Akrapovic end can for the exhaust.
The reason we’ve spoken so much about the RR is that the SE takes the RR and moves it one step closer to perfection. The format, chassis and engine are the same – a 998cc four-cylinder motor pumps out 197bhp and 114Nm, and is equipped with a two-way quickshifter. It adds semi-active Showa suspension that monitors the movement of the suspension every millisecond, and the IMU and ECU adjust it every ten milliseconds. Tyres available in certain markets are Bridgestone Battlax RS10 tyres. It is available in a single paint scheme, and is the most expensive of the ZX-10R range by a significant margin.
The dilemma prospective buyers will face is the fact that the engine modifications aren’t street legal in India, so we aren’t sure whether those will be available to customers here. The ZX-10R SE is scheduled for a launch sometime in 2018.
