The Defy all-electric SUV was unveiled by Bengaluru-based firm Pravaig Dynamics. The SUV has a starting price of ₹39.5 lakh. It attracted significant interest for a number of reasons, the most important of which is that it has been built in India. It will also include a comprehensive list of cutting-edge functions and will be available in a variety of colours. The SUV has multi-spoke alloy wheels, a big roof-mounted spoiler, and a rear profile reminiscent of a Land Rover. During the event, a Defy off-roader variant named the ‘Veer’ was also displayed.

The new Defy e-SUV is powered by a 90.2kWh battery, which produces 402bhp and 620Nm of peak torque. The SUV has a spacious cabin with 1,215mm of legroom and 1,050mm of headroom. It also has a ground clearance of 234mm. Equipped with the all-wheel-drive system, the e-SUV claims to have a top speed of 210km/h and takes 4.9 seconds to go from 0 to 100km/h. A 160kW DC fast charger can charge the battery from 0 to 80% in about 30 minutes. According to Pravaig, the battery life of the car is suitable for 2.5 lakh kilometres.

The Defy has an angular appearance, with sharp cuts and creases all over its body. At the rear, an LED strip connects the taillights. For a sportier appearance, it also features a sloping roofline. Moreover, it is the most economical vehicle with Rolls-Royce-like suicide doors. There are a total of 11 exterior paint options available for the new electric SUV.

Pravaig claims that it has used eco-friendly materials, including technical cloth manufactured from PET bottles, recovered nylon, and vegan leather, in the SUV, following the green trend like the majority of contemporary EV manufacturers. The Defy includes a 15.6-inch central display, ambient lighting, a dual-panel glass roof, a Devialet premium sound system, a PM 2.5 air filter, and cooled and motorised seats.
