TVS has confirmed its electric plans and has invested Rs 1,000 crore in its EV strategy. This signals to the fact that the Creon concept that was showcases at the 2018 Auto Expo might finally hit production. It could be the flagship TVS electric scooter to rival the Ather 450X.
TVS Motors unveiled its all-electric scooter concept, the Creon at the 2018 Auto Expo. The scooter features sharp and angular design language and a segment-first perimeter frame. It also gets a full digital instrument console and LED lights.
On the specification front, the Creon gets three lithium ion batteries and an electric motor that’s capable of delivering 16.31PS of peak power. The e-scooter can bolt from 0-60kmph in just 5.1 seconds according to the company and return a claimed range of 80km on a single charge.
If that’s not enough, the Creon also boats of a rapid charge option, which can recharge the batteries up to 80 per cent in a span of an hour. A portion of the batteries can also be charged via regenerative braking.
In addition to this, the scooter gets a Bluetooth-enabled digital instrument console with features such as cloud connectivity, 3 riding modes, geo-fencing, GPS, park assist, safety and anti-theft. You can also view the battery charge and battery health status. In terms of underpinnings, the Creon comes equipped with disc brakes at both ends paired with single-channel ABS.
