Indian Motorcycles has updated its portfolio with the launch of the Chief Bobber Dark Horse in our market. The latest iteration of the motorcycle is built around a steel-tube frame and is powered by the company’s Thunderstroke engine. The BS6-compliant 1,890cc, twin-cylinder, air-cooled engine produces 162Nm of peak torque at 3,200rpm. The new motor features a rear cylinder deactivation function.

The motorcycle packs in features such as a 15.1-litre fuel tank, bobbed rear fender, dual outboard preload-adjustable rear shocks, 46mm front forks, dual exhaust, LED lighting, keyless ignition, and Pirelli Night Dragon tires. The electronic package includes ABS, cruise control system, and three ride modes (sport, standard, and tour).

The new Chief Bobber Dark Horse also gets the new Ride Command system. The new system, which can be operated through the switchgear or via the digital IPS touchscreen display, offers access to two different gauge configurations, bike information, ride data, and turn-by-turn navigation. The tech connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth or USB. Once connected to a smartphone, it offers access to phone information, recent calls, contacts, number pad, and text message history.

The styling cues include a single-pod headlight, a curvy fuel tank, rider-only saddle, and twin exhaust canisters. The motorcycle is available in three colours – Black Smoke, Titanium Smoke, and Sagebrush Smoke.
