Harley-Davidson India has launched the new Nightster in our market. This new motorcycle from the American brand will be imported to India via the Completely Built-up Units (CBU) route and will be available in a single variant. Harley-Davidson India will offer the Nighster in three colours – Vivid Black, Gunship Grey, and Redline Red. The Vivid Black theme is the most affordable, while Gunship Grey and Redline Red retail at a relatively higher price tag.
The motorcycle is powered by the company’s Revolution Max 975T, 975cc, liquid-cooled, V-twin engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor produces 89bhp at 7,500rpm and 95Nm of peak torque at 5,750rpm. The chassis uses the engine as the stress member.
The suspension hardware on the motorcycle comprises 41mm Showa front forks and twin rear springs. The braking tasks are handled by single disc brakes on both wheels, while the electronic rider aids include three ride modes, ABS, engine braking control, and traction control system. It rides on 19-inch front and 16-inch rear alloy wheels shod in tubeless tyres.
The new Harley-Davidson Nighster rivals the likes of Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster and the Ducati Diavel in the Indian market.
