About Streetfighter V2

Ducati Streetfighter V2 is a super bike available at a starting price of Rs. 18,10,000 in India. It is available in only 1 variant and 1 colour. The Ducati Streetfighter V2 is powered by 955cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 150.59 bhp and a torque of 101.4 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Ducati Streetfighter V2 comes up with anti-locking braking system. This Streetfighter V2 bike weighs 200 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 17 liters.

Ducati has launched the Streetfighter V2 to rival the likes of Kawasaki Z900, BMW F900R, and the Triumph Street Triple series in the Indian market. The new Ducati Streetfighter V2 is available in a single variant.

The motorcycle draws styling cues from the Italian manufacturer’s flagship naked roadster motorcycle, the Streetfighter V4. Thus, the design comprises a twin-pod headlight with a V-shaped LED DRL, a muscular fuel tank, flat handlebar, silver-coloured radiator shrouds, sporty engine cowl, split-style saddle, single-sided swingarm, and an underbelly exhaust setup. However, unlike the Streetfighter V4, this naked roadster is available in a single variant and it is listed in one paint option – Ducati Red.

The Streetfighter V2 uses a BS6-compliant 955cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is linked to a six-speed gearbox and tuned to deliver a maximum output of 150.9bhp at 10,750rpm and a peak torque of 101.4Nm at 9,000rpm. The service interval is 12,000km or 12 months while the valve clearance intervals are 24,000km long.

The feature list on the motorcycle comprises full-LED lighting, a 4.3-inch full-TFT dashboard, a six-axis IMU inertial platform, three riding modes (Sport, Road, and Wet), power modes, cornering ABS with slide-by-brake function, traction control system, wheelie control, a bi-directional quickshifter, and engine brake control.

The hardware on the new Ducati Streetfighter V2 includes a monocoque frame that uses the engine as the stressed member. The suspension tasks are handled by 43mm Showa BPF front forks and a Sachs rear mono-shock – both fully adjustable. The braking setup includes twin 320mm discs with Brembo M4-32 monobloc four-piston calipers at the front and a single 245mm rotor with a two-piston caliper. The dry weight of the motorcycle is rated at 178kg.
