With a recent unveiling of several segment-first features of the upcoming Hyundai Verna, we give you an idea of what you can expect from the all-new Verna, which is scheduled for its launch in the Indian market on March 21. According to Hyundai Motor India, the next-generation sedan is ready to ‘elevate customer experiences’ with its first-in-segment features like heated and ventilated front seats and a switchable-type infotainment & climate controller interface for seamless integration between the infotainment system and the climate control system. Moreover, the company recently revealed the dimensions and other specifications of the Verna in the first week of March. The deliveries for the car will reportedly begin in mid-April.

The 2023 Hyundai Verna will lead the segment in luxury and comfort, according to the company. The car “has been intricately crafted to deliver exemplary future mobility experiences. With thoughtful and innovative technology integration, the all-new Hyundai VERNA is geared up to redefine the benchmark once again. The power of innovation and Hyundai’s ingenuity will come to the fore as we prepare to launch this new sedan in India”, stated Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer, Hyundai Motor India Ltd.

2023 Hyundai Verna: Features
Apart from an integrated 26.03cm HD audio video navigation system, the all-new Hyundai Verna will also come with a 10.25-inch infotainment display, an 8-speaker Bose premium sound system, and a digital cluster with full-colour TFT MID. However, these features are likely to be offered with the top-spec variants.

Other notable features of the Verna include horizon LED positioning lamps and DRLs (daytime running lights) that stretch across the width of the car, parametric connected LED tail lamps, an updated front grille, and much more.

2023 Hyundai Verna: Powertrains
The new Hyundai Verna will offer two petrol-engine options. The lower-spec versions will be powered by a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated engine. While the top-spec models will use a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that offers 158bhp of maximum power. Both engines will be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and have CVT and DCT as options. There will be no diesel engine option available.

The 2023 Hyundai Verna is expected to be priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 19 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). Once launched, the car will take on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, the Skoda Slavia, the Volkswagen Virtus, and the updated Honda City.
