Kia Optima is the executive sedan from Kia which will be positioned slightly above the Seltos. It will be feature loaded and will also come with connected car features. The front will feature a free-flowing sketch type Z-shaped Daytime-running lamps and centre will be taken by Kia’s signature tiger-nose grille. There will be a light-bar on the rear end of the Optima with LED taillamps. The interior will feature premium materials like leather and soft-touch plastics. There will be electrically adjustable front seats which will also be ventilated. The touchscreen infotainment system will get Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The infotainment system will be connected to Bose speakers which sounds amazing. The UVO connected car features will be carried forward from the Seltos to the Optima. The driver will get a heads-up display along with multi-information display in the instrument cluster. Kia Optima specs may include the same turbo-petrol engine which is doing duty on the Seltos. The 1.4-litre petrol engine produces 140bhp of max power and a peak torque output of 242Nm. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-Speed Dual-Clutch transmission which shifts the gears smoothly. Braking duties will be handled by discs in the front and at the rear with ABS, EBD and Electronic Stability Control. Kia may also give 6-airbags, speed alert system for added safety. The rear parking camera with rear parking sensors will help the driver to park the sedan. Kia Optima will compete against Hyundai Elantra, Skoda Octavia and Honda Civic.
