Kia Seltos 2023 Latest Updates
Kia has taken the wraps off the facelifted Seltos. As it is a mid-life update, the design changes give it a sharper look. They include redesigned inserts for the larger “Tiger Nose” grille, reworked rear end with connected tail lamps, and new alloy wheels. The updated interior now gets a fully digital instrument cluster along with the 10.25-inch infotainment unit like the EV6. Its powertrain options are likely to remain unchanged. We expect the facelifted compact SUV to be launched at the Auto Expo in January 2023.

The facelifted Kia Seltos is likely to be powered by the current model’s 115PS/144Nm 1.5-litre petrol, 140PS/242Nm 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol and 115PS/250Nm 1.5-litre diesel engines. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual as standard, a CVT along with a 6-speed iMT for the 1.5-litre petrol, a 7-speed DCT for the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol, and a 6-speed torque converter for the 1.5-litre diesel unit.

The facelifted Seltos features a new fully digital driver’s display connected to the 10.25-inch infotainment system. Toys like a Bose sound system, automatic climate control, an air purifier, ambient lighting, cruise control, and ventilated front seats are likely to be retained. Safety is likely to be taken care of with multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), front and rear parking sensors, and electronic stability control. We also expect it to get a few ADAS features, including forward, rear and blind-spot collision avoidance assist.

The facelifted Kia Seltos will compete against the Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, Tata Harrier, MG Hector, and the five seater variants of the Mahindra XUV700.
