Toyota’s first dedicated battery electric model, the bZ4X is the first in a line of new EVs set to arrive from Toyota in global markets as it finally starts its journey towards all-electric. The bZ moniker standards for beyond zero which is part of its electrification strategy and also its new sub-brand for EVs. In terms of design the bZ4X certainly stands out from other models with its aggressive crossover-inspired looks and contrast-finished flares. The cabin design too is quite unique with a free-standing display for the instrument cluster and a second larger unit sitting atop the centre console. Coming to the powertrain, there is a 71.4 kWh battery which promises around 500 km of range for the front-wheel-drive model and around 460 km of range on the all-wheel-drive model.

The front-wheel-drive model gets a single 150 kW motor while the all-wheel-drive models get 80 kW motors on each axle. It also gets fast charging technology and can do 0-80 percent in 30 minutes.
