Latest Update: Tata Safari can be had with benefits of up to Rs 45,000 this March. In related news, the regular variants of the Safari have been updated with new features, commanding a price hike of up to Rs 66,000. Also, Tata Safari’s new ‘Red Dark’ edition has been launched.

Price: The Safari is priced between Rs 15.65 lakh and Rs 25.01 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new Red Dark edition of the Safari starts from Rs 22.61 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Variants: It can be had in six broad trims: XE, XM, XMS, XT+, XZ and XZ+. It is also offered in special ‘Dark’ and the new ‘Red Dark’ editions.

Seating Capacity: Tata Safari comes in both six- and seven-seat configurations. The six-seater, which is exclusively available in the top trim, includes captain seats in the middle row.

Engine and Transmission: Propulsion duty is carried out by the same 2-litre diesel engine as in the Harrier (170PS/350Nm). This engine is paired with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.

Features: Features on board the Safari include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a seven-inch digital driver’s display, a nine-speaker sound system, a wireless phone charger, an air purifier and a panoramic sunroof. 

It also gets a six-way power-adjustable driver seat with memory and welcome function, a four-way power-adjustable co-driver seat with boss mode, cruise control and auto AC. Front and rear ventilated seats are offered on the six-seater top trim.

Safety: In terms of passenger safety, it gets up to six airbags, electronic stability program (ESP), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), all-wheel disc brakes, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and ISOFIX anchorages. New safety features include a 360-degree camera and ADAS functionalities like forward collision warning, lane-keep assist, blind spot detection and auto emergency braking.

Rivals: The Safari is a rival to the MG Hector PlusHyundai Alcazar and Mahindra XUV700.

The price of Tata Safari starts at Rs. 15.65 Lakh and goes upto Rs. 25.02 Lakh. Tata Safari is offered in 34 variants – the base model of Safari is XE and the top variant Tata New Safari XZA Plus (O) 6 Str Red Dark AT which comes at a price tag of Rs. 25.02 Lakh.
