Price: Hyundai’s compact sedan is priced between Rs 10.90 lakh and Rs 17.38 lakh (introductory ex-showroom pan India).

Variants: Hyundai offers it in four broad variants: EX, S, SX and SX(O).

Boot Space: It comes with a boot space of 528 litres.

Colours: You can buy the new Verna in seven monotone and two dual-tone colour options: Titan Grey, Tellurian Brown, Typhoon Silver, Fiery Red, Atlas White, Abyss Black, Starry Night, Atlas White with Black roof and Fiery Red with Black roof.

Engine and Transmission: It comes with the choice of two petrol engines: a new 1.5-litre turbocharged engine (160PS/253Nm) paired with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT, and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated unit (115PS/144Nm) coupled with either a six-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.

Features: The new-gen Verna boasts a dual integrated screen setup (including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a digitised driver’s display). The compact sedan also comes with an eight-speaker Bose sound system, switchable controls for infotainment and AC, 64-colour ambient lighting, a single-pane sunroof, an air purifier and ventilated and heated front seats.

Safety: Its safety kit comprises six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorages and ABS with EBD. The higher variants of the new-gen Verna also come with electronic stability control (ESC), front parking sensors, all disc brakes, and a tyre-pressure monitoring system. The compact sedan also features advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) functions such as forward-collision warning, blind-spot alert, lane keep assist, lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control.
