The BSA Gold Star is powered by a liquid-cooled 652cc, single-cylinder engine putting out 45.6PS and an impressive 55Nm. This engine is paired to a five-speed transmission equipped with an assist-and-slipper clutch. The bike is suspended on a 41mm telescopic fork and five-step preload adjustable twin shocks. Meanwhile, it rolls on 18/17-inch (F/R) spoke wheels wrapped in Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tyres and anchored by a 320mm front and 255mm rear disc brake.

Coming to its design, the Gold Star looks properly retro in its ways, with its round halogen headlight and twin-pod instrument cluster. The overall appeal is further enhanced by brushed aluminium touches on the engine and exhaust. Design-aside, you get features like a handlebar-mounted USB charger, an immobiliser, a 12V socket (for jacket heaters), dual-channel ABS, and a slipper clutch, which make the bike relevant.

BSA is likely to price the motorcycle at around Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom). It will go up against the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Kawasaki Z650RS.
