Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Latest Update

The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is the only fully faired bike from the Pune-based bikemaker, and was the second motorcycle to be powered by a liquid-cooled engine after the Bajaj-KTM partnership. It is properly sporty with an aggressive bodywork but is fairly comfortable to ride, thanks to the raised clip-ons and a not-so-sporty riding stance.

Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Price:

The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is available only in one variant, costing Rs 1,71,021 (ex-showroom Delhi). At this price point it is the most expensive bike in the Pulsar range. The RS200 is available in three colours – Burnt Red, Pewter Grey and White.

Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Features:

The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 comes with an attention-grabbing design language, featuring a dual-projector headlight setup with twin LED DRLs. It also gets LED turn indicators and a LED tail lamp. The semi-digital instrument cluster feels a little too long in the tooth, featuring a fuel gauge, two trip meters, an odometer, a clock, a service-due indicator along with the tell-tale lights. A gear position indicator and a range/distance-to-empty readout would have helped bring this console on par to its rivals. The switchcubes on the Pulsar RS200 are backlit for added visibility at night. There is no smartphone connectivity, even as an option.

Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Engine:

The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is powered by a 199.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor that churns out 24.5PS at 9750rpm and 18.7Nm at 8000rpm. This fuel-injected heart is derived from the KTM 200 range, and works alongside a six-speed gearbox.

Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Suspension & Brakes:

The Pulsar RS 200 is built on a perimeter frame and employs a telescopic fork and a gas-charged rear monoshock. Braking is via a 300mm disc up front with axial caliper, and a 230mm disc at the rear with the safety net of dual-channel ABS.

Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Rivals:

The Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 rivals the Yamaha R15 V4, KTM RC 200, the Gixxer SF 250 and the upcoming TVS Apache RTR 310. But for around the same price bracket as Pulsar RS 200, you could also buy the Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 or the Yamaha FZ25.
