Tata Altroz Racer Latest Updates

The Tata Altroz Racer revealed at the Auto Expo this year has been confirmed for a launch through the carmaker’s social media platform. A  comment on the post revealed a launch is imminent, and prices will be out on the same day as well. It doesn’t get any cosmetic revisions, but its bonnet and roof are blacked out. The body is painted in a red hue while contrasting black alloys bring out the sporty element. The cabin follows a black theme with red inserts around the AC vents and gearbox housing, while the seats get red and white stitching.

The hatchback is powered by the Nexon’s 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 120PS and 170Nm. It sends power to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. No mechanical changes have been made to the suspension.

The Altroz Racer packs a bigger 10.25-inch infotainment system, a seven-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated seats and a sunroof as well. Other features should be the same as the standard hatchback which gets Apple Carplay and Android Auto, climate control, height-adjustable driver seat, and a Harman sound system. Its safety kit should also be the same as well, with features like ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors with a rear camera, and, rain-sensing wipers, but it does get six airbags in place of two.
