TVS Apache RTR 310 Latest Updates

TVS has increased the asking price of the BS6 Apache RR 310 to Rs 2,48,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). This is the first price hike for the bike in 2021. The bike was updated then to meet the BS6 emission norms, and received updates like ride-by-wire throttle, four rider modes, and a colour TFT dash. The new price is Rs 3,000 more than the previous asking price, making it Rs 20,000 more expensive than its BS4 counterpart.

TVS has confirmed that it is working on a second BMW-co-developed bike, due to be launched in 2021. We expect this to be a naked version of the Apache RR310, called the Apache RTR 310. It will feature streetfighter styling and share its underpinnings and engine with the RR. This means a 312cc motor which churns out 34PS and 27.3Nm in the RR. We expect the same figures in the RTR as well.

Ride-by-wire technology and 4 ride modes are also expected to carried onto the RTR, along with the trellis frame and USD fork/monoshock suspension setup. Braking will be handled by disc brakes at both ends assisted by dual-channel ABS. We can expect a price in the range of Rs 2.2 lakh, which will help it undercut rivals like the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G 310 R and Honda CB300R.
