Hyundai Exter Latest Update

Last Updated On 8th May’23 : Hyundai has opened bookings for the Exter at Rs 11,000. The Exter will come with 1.2 petrol and 1.2 CNG engine options in as many as 9 colour options. Both manual and AMT will be offered with the petrol engine. We expect the car to go on sale in June 2023. 

Hyundai Exter Engines : The micro SUV is expected to come with two engine options. The first one will be a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor that we also see in the i20 and the Venue. Gearbox option on this engine will be a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. The other motor will be a 1.2 CNG unit – this is something the Punch does not offer as of May 2023. Both manual and iMT automatic gearbox options are expected. The mileage of the Exter as per ARAI certification will vary between 18 to 20 kmpl.

Hyundai Exter features : Like most Hyundai models, the Exter will be feature loaded as well. Some of the key highlights will include a sunroof, full digital speedometer console, large touchscreen display with wireless support for Android Auto / CarPlay, air purifier, rear ac vents, true keyless entry with push button start etc. The Exter will also offer Hyundai’s suite of connected apps. 

Hyundai Exter Price : The Exter will be positioned under the Venue as a rival to the Tata Punch. Hence, an ex-showroom price of about Rs 6 lakh as the starting base is expected. The higher versions of the Exter might touch about 9 lakh, ex-showroom.
