Maruti S-Presso Car Latest Update
Latest Update: Some units of the Maruti S-Presso have been recalled due to a suspected fault in their steering rod tie. The hatchback is available with benefits of up to Rs 58,000 in July.
Price: Maruti retails the S-Presso in the price range of Rs 4.26 lakh to Rs 6.12 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Variants: It can be bought in four broad variants: Std, LXi, VXi(O) and VXi+(O). The LXi and VXi trims get the option of a CNG kit.
Colours: The S-Presso comes in six colour options: Solid Sizzle Orange, Solid Fire Red, Metallic Granite Grey, Metallic Silky Silver, Pearl Sterry Blue and Solid White.
Engine and Transmission: Maruti S-Presso is being offered with a 1-litre petrol engine (68PS/90Nm) mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT. The CNG trims use the same engine and produce a reduced output of 56.69PS and 82Nm and are paired only with a 5-speed manual. Here are the claimed mileage figures:
- Petrol MT – 24.12kmpl (Std, LXi)
- Petrol MT – 24.76kmpl (VXi and VXi+)
- Petrol AMT – 25.30kmpl [VXi(O) and VXi+(O)]
- CNG – 32.73km/kg
Features: Maruti’s hatchback includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digitised instrument cluster, powered windows in the front and keyless entry.
Safety: It gets dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, and ABS with EBD to ensure passenger safety.
Rivals: The Maruti S-Presso rivals the Renault Kwid. Considering the price range, it can also be considered as an alternative to the Maruti Wagon R and Alto K10.
