Audi Q8 e-tron Car Latest Updates

Audi has revealed the launch date of the Q8 e-Tron in India. Prices of the electric SUV will be out on August 18 and it will be offered in two body styles: SUV and Sportback (SUV Couple). The facelift has brought a change in the name of the EV with the Q8 prefix being added to the moniker. Now called the Q8 e-tron, the facelift packs mild cosmetic revisions, most of which are focused towards the front-end of the EV. The real change is under its skin, where it gets a power bump in addition to the improvement in their claimed ranges with larger battery packs. The Q8 e-tron will make its way to India as a CBU unit.

Audi Q8 e-tron Engine

The three variants of the EV get their own powertrain specifications. The first two, e-tron 50 and e-tron 55, both get a dual-motor, all-wheel drive setup and produce 339PS/664Nm and 408PS/664Nm, respectively. While the e-tron 50 gets its charge from a 89kWh battery pack, the latter is fed using a 106kWh pack. The top-spec e-tron S trim gets a 106kWh battery pack as well, but it sends charge to three electric motors sending power to all four wheels and producing 503PS and 973 Nm. All mentioned power figures are in boost mode. It has a WLTP-claimed range of up to 600km depending on the variant selected.

Key Features of Audi Q8 e-tron

The Q8 e-tron gets a dual-screen setup with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment and an 8.6-inch screen placed beneath the bigger one for climate control functionality. Other features include a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, ambient lighting, panoramic glass roof, four-zone climate control (optional), heads-up display, and ventilated seats with massage function. Its safety net includes multiple airbags and a bunch of ADAS systems.

It will be a rival to the BMW iX, Volvo EX90, Mercedes EQC and Jaguar I-Pace.
