Mercedes-Benz GLC 2023 Car Latest Updates

Mercedes-Benz will launch the second generation GLC SUV in India on August 9. The latest iteration brings design updates, more features and a host of hybrid powertrains to the GLC’s arsenal. The SUV’s powertrain, which includes both petrol and diesel options, has been electrified using mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid systems. Although, for India, Mercedes has confirmed two mild-hybrid variant options only.

The GLC’s powertrain now gets a 48V mild-hybrid system with both petrol and diesel units. While the latter is a 197PS 2-litre diesel unit, the 2.0-litre petrol is offered in two states of tune: 204PS and 258PS. The luxury SUV also gets plug-in hybrid options which includes two petrol mills producing up to 381PS and one 331PS diesel engine.

Key Features of Mercedes-Benz GLC 2023

The luxury SUV features an 11.9-inch infotainment system along with a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display which operates on the second gen MBUX UI. Mercedes has also equipped it with a slew of ADAS systems which includes adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, trailer maneuvering system, and park assistance.

The Mercedes GLC will compete with the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Volvo XC60.
