The Ola S1 Air is the manufacturer’s entry-level e-scooter that rivals ICE scooters like the Honda Activa 6G.

Ola S1 Air Engine

The Ola S1 Air is powered using a hub-type electric motor that produces a nominal output of 2.7kW and a peak output of 4.5kW. The motor draws power from a 3kWh battery pack that gives this e-scooter a certified range of 141km and a top speed of 85kmph. The e-scooter is built on a tubular frame which is suspended by a dual telescopic fork up front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is handled by drum units at both ends, with CBS coming as standard. The vehicle rolls on steel rims which are shod with tubeless tyres. The S1 Air weighs 107kg (kerb) and comes with a 792mm seat height, along with 165mm ground clearance.

Ola S1 Air Range

The 2kWh variant has a certified range of 85km, while the 3kWh variant gets a 125km certified range. However, with the top 4kWh variant, Ola claims a certified range of 165km

Ola S1 Air Variants

The S1 Air is available in a single variant and comes in four paint schemes: Porcelain White, Coral Glam, Liquid Silver and Midnight Blue.

Ola S1 Air Design

Ola S1 Air has a more commuter-oriented design, unlike its more expensive counterparts, the S1 and the S1 Pro. It comes with a flat floorboard, along with black-coloured body cladding, a single-piece pillion grab rail and steel wheels instead of alloys. The S1 Air lacks the attractive design features of its more expensive siblings, making it a fairly accessible iteration of the Ola S1 series.

Key Features of Ola S1 Air

Ola S1 Air is fitted with an all-LED lighting setup and has a touch-enabled 7-inch TFT instrument console that gets Bluetooth connectivity for seamless navigation. The EV comes with features like music control, remote unlock and a side-stand alert. It can even receive OTA software updates to improve its feature set over time. The S1 Air comes with a remote unlock feature and gets three riding modes: Eco, Normal and Sports. It comes with a sculpted single-piece seat that has a 34-litre storage space underneath.

Ola S1 Air Competitors

The Ola S1 Air goes up against the likes of the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube (base variant) and the Okinawa Okhi90. In a similar price range, you could also opt for the Honda Activa 6G and the TVS Jupiter, which happen to be petrol-based scooters.
