TVS Jupiter Bike Latest Updates

The TVS Jupiter is the Hosur-based manufacturer’s most popular scooter, and is the primary rival to the popular Honda Activa 6G. The scooter is well-known for its frugal motor, rich features and competitive price.

TVS Jupiter Engine

TVS Jupiter is powered by a 109.7cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine which makes 7.88PS and 8.8Nm. Its underpinnings include an underbone frame with telescopic front fork and a three-step preload-adjustable monoshock. The Jupiter has 12-inch alloy wheels (base variant gets steel wheels) with tubeless tyres and gets drum brakes on both ends as standard (a front disc comes as an option). At 109kg, Jupiter is one of the heaviest 110cc scooters in the market. But it does get 150mm ground clearance which is more than enough for a scooter.

TVS Jupiter Variants

The TVS Jupiter is available in six variants: Sheet Metal Wheel, Standard, ZX, ZX Disc, ZX Disc with SmartXonnect and the Classic. The ZX variants feature beige plastic panels and two-tone seats, whereas the Classic variant boasts a tinted visor, chromed mirror caps, decent-looking graphics and a pillion backrest. Also, the ZX SmartXonnect version comes with voice-control along with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Check out more details here….Read More

TVS Jupiter Design

In terms of appearance, the TVS Jupiter retains the same, simple and commuter-based styling. Its design is neutral, and appeals to both young and mature buyers. There are multiple colour options to choose from too. The Sheet Metal White variant comes just in a Metallic Titanium Grey shade. The standard variant comes in Titanium Grey, Midnight Black, Metallic Red, Pristine White, Walnut Brown, and Metallic Blue. The ZX and ZX Disc variants are offered in Starlight Blue and Royal Wine. The ZX Disc SmartXonnect variant is available in Matte Black and Copper Bronze shades. Lastly, the top-spec Jupiter Classic variant is available in Mystic Grey and Regal Purple colourways.

Key Features of TVS Jupiter

Jupiter 110 gets an LED headlight, and features an analogue instrument console as standard which gives data such as speed and fuel level along with other telltale signs. On the other hand, the ZX variants do feature a semi-digital instrument cluster. Other features include an external fuel filler cap, pass-light switch, and alloy wheels (excluding the Sheet Metal variant). The scooter comes with a standard USB charging outlet on the front apron and an under seat USB port is offered as an option. Jupiter ZX disc variants also come with a silent starter (TVS calls it iTouchStart). At 21 litres, the Jupiter’s underseat storage is also pretty good. The geeks will be glad to know the ZX SmartXonnect variant comes with the TVS NTorq 125-derived full-LCD instrument cluster along with smartphone connectivity with voice control, and turn-by-turn navigation.

TVS Jupiter Competitors

The TVS Jupiter goes up against the likes of the Honda Activa 6G, and the Hero Maestro Edge 110. On the other hand, the Jupiter Classic variant goes up against the Hero Pleasure Xtec and the Honda Activa 6G Premium Edition.
