Volvo C40 Recharge Car Latest Update
Latest Update: The Volvo C40 Recharge has been revealed in India.
Launch: It will go on sale by August 2023.
Price: The electric SUV could be priced at Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom).
Seating Capacity: The C40 Recharge can seat up to five people.
Electric Motor, Battery and Range: The C40 Recharge shares its electric powertrain with its platform sibling, the XC40 Recharge. It has a 78kWh battery pack which offers a WLTP claimed range of 530km. The unit is mated to an all-wheel drive (AWD) electric motor which makes 408PS and 660Nm. The C40 Recharge can sprint from nought to 100kmph in 4.7 seconds.
Charging: It can support up to 150kW of fast charging to juice up the battery from 10 to 80 percent in just 27 minutes.
Features: Its features list includes a 9-inch vertically oriented touchscreen infotainment system with Google Android OS-powered built-in apps and services, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display. It also gets electrically adjustable front seats (with heated and cooling function), dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof and a premium Harman Kardon sound system.
Safety: Passenger safety is taken care of by seven airbags, hill hold and descent control and 360-degree camera. The C40 Recharge is also equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance and mitigation for front, lane keeping aid, blind spot monitoring with cross traffic alert for both front and rear.
Rivals: While it won’t have any direct rivals, it will be regarded as an alternative to the Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5, BMW i4 and its sibling, the XC40 Recharge.
