About Toyota Rumion

Toyota Rumion is a rebranded version of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, which Toyota plans to bring to India sometime in mid-2023. The seven-seat Rumion is likely to be available in few variants with a single petrol powertrain option.

The exterior design of the India-bound Toyota Rumion is expected to be almost the same as the Ertiga except for a few possible changes in the form of redesigned bumpers and grille. Other features should include projector headlamps, fog lights, LED combination rear lights, rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, and alloy wheels.

The interior details of the India-spec Rumion are not revealed yet. However, Toyota is expected to offer a seven-inch infotainment touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an analogue instrument cluster, a flat-bottomed multifunctional steering wheel, and automatic air conditioning.

The India-spec Toyota Rumion is likely to have the same powertrain – a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine mated to either a manual or automatic gearbox.
