Honda Shine 100 Engine

Powering the Honda Shine 100 is a BS6.2 (OBD2) compliant 100cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 7.61PS and 8.05Nm. It is paired to a four speed gearbox. Underpinned by a diamond frame the Shine 100 runs a telescopic fork and twin shock absorber suspension setup. Braking is done via drum units on both ends with CBS.

The Honda Shine 100 is available in only one variant. It costs Rs 64,900 (introductory, ex-showroom Mumbai).

Honda Shine 100 Design

The Honda Shine 100 gets an absolute no-nonsense commuter design language with simple body panels. It looks quite similar to its older sibling, the Shine 125. To spice things up, the 100cc bike gets black as the base colour with five different secondary colours and flashy graphics.

Key Features of Honda Shine 100

Being a basic commuter, the Honda Shine 100 comes equipped with halogen lights and an analog dual-pod instrument console for basic readouts including the speed, fuel level and tell-tale lights. It also gets side stand engine cut-off, an automatic choke system and a fuel pump located outside for easier maintenance.

Honda Shine 100 Competitors

In the 100cc commuter segment, the Honda Shine 100 goes up against the likes of Hero Splendor Plus, Bajaj Platina 100 and Hero HF100. In terms of price, the Shine 100 rivals the TVS Scooty Pep Plus, Hero Electric NYX, Honda Dio and Okinawa Ridge.
