Ducati Monster Bike Latest Updates

Ducati has launched the Monster SP in India, aiming to amp up the seriousness of the naked for an eye-watering price tag. Know more about it here.

Yes, it packs better suspension, tyres, braking hardware and weighs less than the standard bike, but the asking price is extremely steep.

The Ducati Monster is powered by a 937cc Testastretta 11 motor that makes 111PS and 93Nm in both trims. That said, the SP will sound raspier as it gets street-legal Termignoni end cans as standard. The standard Monster gets non-adjustable suspension at both ends with rather simpler Brembo M4.32 monobloc calipers and Pirelli Diablo Rosso 3 tyres.

On the SP, suspension components are made by Ohlins, Brembo’s Stylemas are used to anchor the bike and it now rolls on the latest-gen Diablo Rosso 4 rubber from Pirelli. Plus, the bike is a whole 2kg lighter, thanks to the addition of a lithium-ion battery.

In terms of features, the Monster now has a 4.3-inch TFT console, which, in typical Ducati style, is loaded with features like Ducati Power Launch, Ducati Quick Shift and a host of other data.

The Monster goes up against the Triumph Street Triple RS and Kawasaki Z900.
