Mahindra has redesigned the interior of the Thar and it is now completely washable with a draining facility. The Thar features an up-to-the-minute cabin-like any modern hatchback or sedan. There is a touchscreen infotainment system in the vehicle which supports smartphone connectivity. Besides, it has a manual gearstick for the four-wheel-drive system in the 4×4 variants. The Thar 4×2 variants can be distinguished by the lack of the 4×4 badging on either side of the body.

What are the engine, performance, and specifications of the Thar?
The Thar is offered with a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine producing 150bhp and 320Nm of torque while the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel mill develops 130bhp and 300Nm of torque. Also up for offer is a 1.5-litre diesel engine in the lower variants, generating 117bhp and 300Nm of torque. Transmission options include six-speed manual and automatic units. The Thar 4×4 gets a 4WD system while the 4×2 version misses out on this feature. All the said engine are now updated to comply with the RDE norms.
