Features:

Exterior highlights of the Mahindra XUV700 include an all-new design, C-shaped LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, a new grille with chrome inserts, fog lights, roof rails, 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, flush-fitting smart door handles, shark-fin antenna, wrap-around LED tail lights, silver-coloured skid plates, and rear bumper-mounted reflectors. 

Inside, the Mahindra XUV700 comes equipped with features such as a panoramic sunroof, electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, dual 10.25-inch HD screens (one unit each for the touchscreen infotainment system and instrument console), wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, and a 360-degree camera. The SUV also receives ADAS, AdrenoX technology, adaptive cruise control, Sony-sourced 3D-surround sound system, front seats with memory function, flat-bottom steering wheel, auto-booster headlamps, engine start-stop button, and four drive modes (Zip, Zap, Zoom, and Custom). 

The SUV can accommodate seven passengers.

Engine and specifications:

Under the hood, the new Mahindra XUV700 is powered by a BS6 Phase 2-compliant 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. The former is capable of producing 197bhp and 380Nm of torque. The diesel motor is available in two states of tune, 153bhp and 360Nm of torque as well as 182bhp and 420Nm of torque (450Nm with AT). Transmission options include a six-speed manual unit and a six-speed automatic unit. Select variants will also be offered with AWD.

Safety:

The SUV has scored a five-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test.

Competition:

The XUV700 rivals the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar.
