There are seventeen different variants of the Grand Vitara and it comes in ten different colours. Maruti Grand Vitara is offered with petrol engine only with CNG option. Maruti Grand Vitara Car Latest Updates

For the third time since its inception, Maruti has issued a recall for the Grand Vitara. This time around, an issue is suspected in the rear seat belt mounting brackets, which could loosen up, in the long run, causing the part to fail when needed. Owners of the 11,177 affected units will be contacted by the dealerships, and replacement of the part, if needed, will be done at the carmaker’s cost. It is advised for the owners to get the part replaced at the earliest, considering it is a safety hazard.

Maruti Grand Vitara Engine

The Maruti Grand Vitara is offered with a 1.5-litre petrol engine that can be had with either a 103PS mild-hybrid system or a 116PS self-charging strong hybrid unit. The CNG kit is paired to the 1.5-litre motor and a manual transmission only and produces an output of 88PS and 121.5Nm (15PS and 14.5Nm less than standard car). It has a fuel efficiency of 26.6 km/kg. The mild-hybrid is paired to a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox with an optional AllGrip all-wheel-drive (AWD) system exclusively mated with the manual gearbox. The Toyota-sourced strong-hybrid powertrain is geared using an eCVT automatic transmission. The strong-hybrid unit delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 27.97kmpl, while the mild hybrid powertrain returns up to 21.11kmpl. Maruti’s compact SUV is 4345mm long, 1795mm wide, and 1645mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 2600mm.

The Maruti Grand Vitara’s mild hybrid powertrain is available in four trims: Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha.

The strong-hybrid powertrain is offered in two higher-end trims: Zeta+ and Alpha+.

It is offered in six single shade options: Celestial Blue, Arctic White, Cave Black, Grandeur Grey, Opulent Red and Splendid Silver. Dual-tone finish can be had with the Arctic White, Opulent Red, and Splendid Silver hues.

Maruti’s flagship SUV packs a slew of features including a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ambient lighting. a digital driver display, panoramic sunroof, quilted leatherette upholstery, and wireless phone charging. Features like ventilated front seats, a premium sound system, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) are limited to the strong-hybrid units. On the safety front, the SUV packs up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, an electronic stability programme, hill-descent control, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
