Latest Update: Maruti Dzire comes with benefits of up to Rs 10,000 this September. In the related news, the Dzire has reached a sales milestone of 25 lakh units.

Price: The Maruti Dzire is priced from Rs 6.52 lakh to Rs 9.39 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Variants: It comes in four broad variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. The mid-spec VXi and ZXi trims are offered with a factory-fitted CNG kit.

Colours: Maruti’s subcompact sedan is available in six monotone colours: Oxford Blue, Magma Grey, Arctic White, Phoenix Red, Premium Silver and Sherwood Brown.

Boot Space: Maruti’s sub-4m sedan comes with a boot space of 378 litres.

Engine and Transmission: It is powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol engine (90PS/113Nm) as the Swift. This unit is mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. Its CNG variants get a reduced output of 77PS and 98.5Nm, and are paired with the 5-speed manual transmission only. The claimed fuel efficiency figures are:

• 1.2 litre MT- 22.41kmpl
• 1.2 litre AMT- 22.61kmpl
• CNG MT- 31.12km/kg

Features: Its list of features comprises a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control and auto-LED headlights. It also has push-button start/stop and auto AC with rear vents.

Safety: Passenger safety is ensured by dual front airbags, ISOFIX child-seat anchors, and rear parking sensors. Electronic stability control (ESC) and hill-hold assist are limited to the AMT variants.

Rivals: The Maruti Dzire takes on the Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor.
