Hyundai Kona Expected Launch DateThe Kona Electric will be India’s first Electric SUV, according to Hyundai. The electric version is set to debut in India on January 15th 2023. The Kona Electric is nicely finished, and Hyundai has made effective use of new-age features and cladding. Hyundai is expected to launch the Kona EV in India via the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route.
Hyundai Kona Price:There will be two versions of the Hyundai Kona Electric. The price of the Kona is estimated to start at Rs 23.79 lakh and go up to Rs 23.98 lakh.
Hyundai Kona Features:The Hyundai Kona receives slight improvements over the normal model, including a new grille with a charging outlet, an updated front bumper with aerodynamic intake vents, and a reworked rear bumper to hide the exhaust vents. The dashboard is well-designed, with a huge touchscreen in the centre and digital dials. The driver’s seat is powered, and the front seats are heated and ventilated. The Kona comes equipped with dual-zone climate control, a wireless phone charger, a sunroof, and an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There are three degrees of regenerative braking, as well as the ability to use the regen control to slow the car down through paddles behind the wheel.
Hyundai Kona Performance:The Kona EV is available in two powertrain variants in the international market, each with distinct power outputs and driving ranges. The Short Range model’s 39.2kWh battery pack provides a range of 300 kilometers. It has a maximum power output of 133 horsepower and can sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 9.3 seconds. The Long Range variant is equipped with a 64kWh battery pack that provides a 470km range. It has 201 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 7.6 seconds. The 39.2kWh battery pack takes about 6 hours to fully charge, while the 64kWh battery pack takes roughly 9 hours.
Hyundai Kona Capacity:The Hyundai Kona can seat five passengers. The battery is built into the new chassis, and the e-SUV has a 373-liter boot space.
Hyundai Kona Rivals:For the time being, the Hyundai Kona Electric is India’s only long-range EV, but it will soon face competition from the MG ZS EV and Nissan Leaf.
