Audi has given a mid-life update to its Etron electric-SUV and added the Q8 prefix. The Q8 Etron claims to be an updated version of the Audi Etron on. With its new name, the facelifted Etron now has an established position, at the top of Audi’s electric SUV portfolio. The original Etron styling was forthright and conventional, and the Q8 Etron on is also similar in that sense. It also avoids any serious design language that portrays electric, but it is certainly more attractive to look at. One of the significant updates to the new car is, increase in the driving range and that has been affected in two ways, enhanced battery management system and an introduction of larger battery sizes. In international markets, the Q8 Etron will be offered in three trims: Etron 50, Etron 55, and Etron S 89 kWh. Battery pack with dual motor: Up to 509 km 106 kWh battery pack with dual motor: Up to 600 km 106 kWh battery pack with triple motor: Up to 513 km. Also, the SUV will be made available in three all-wheel drive (AWD) powertrain choices: A 89 kWh (334 bhp/664 Nm) dual motor setup, a 106 kWh (402 bhp/664 Nm) dual motor unit, and a 106 kWh (496 bhp/973 Nm) triple motor setup.
