Last Updated On 5th Apr’23 – Waiting for the CNG version of the Altroz? Tata Motors is gearing up to launch this version of the premium hatchback very soon. Once launched, the Altroz CNG will be a safer alternative to the Baleno CNG and the Glanza CNG. Further, with a dual cylinder set-up, the boot of the Altroz CNG will offer more space than its rivals.

Tata Altroz engines – This premium hatchback is offered with both petrol and diesel engine options. The diesel is a 1497cc turbo unit offering 90 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox. There are two options for petrol users – the first is a non turbo 1.2-litre 3-cylinder unit that is good for 86 PS and 113 Nm. This engine is offered with a 5 speed manual as well as a 6 speed DCA automatic gearbox. The same engine also has a turbo option that sees power rising to 110 PS and torque to 140 Nm. This turbo unit comes with a 5 speed manual gearbox.
