MG Hector Latest Updates

The facelifted MG Hector has been launched in India with prices starting from Rs 14.73 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV features minor exterior styling revisions and a brand new cabin layout which boasts a host of new features. For the first time, the SUV gets a full suite of ADAS technology including 11 features. This is the second major update for the SUV after it was last facelifted back in 2021. The powertrain has been kept as it was and it’s offered in six trims.

MG Hector Engine

The facelifted Hector borrows its powertrain from the outgoing model which gets two options: 143PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol ICE and 170PS 2-litre diesel engine. A six-speed manual gearbox comes standard, while an optional CVT transmission is offered with the petrol powertrain.

MG Hector Variants

The MG Hector comes to India in six trims: Style, Shine, Smart, Smart Pro, Sharp Pro and the new range-topping Savvy Pro.

The MG Hector gets seven shade options: Dune Brown, Havana Grey, Candy White, Aurora Silver, White and Black (dual-tone), Glaze Red, and Starry Black.

MG Hector Features

The new Hector gets a new 14-inch portrait-style infotainment screen, automatic turn indicators, improved connected car technology, infotainment controlled sunroof (control the percentage of opening), and voice controlled ambient lighting (multiple colours). The list also comprises features offered on the current model such as a panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging and heated outer rear-view mirrors. Safety features include up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, ADAS technology and electronic stability control.

MG Hector Competitors

The facelifted Hector rivals the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Harrier / Safari and Mahindra XUV700.
