Hero XPulse 200 Latest Update

Hero’s XPulse 200 has been quite a hit amongst those who seek adventure on a budget. Hero improved the light off-roader’s appeal with the new four-valve engine. Head here to read our experience with the bike.

Hero XPulse 200 price:

The XPulse 200 4V used to be offered in two variants: Rs 1,37,496 for the standard variant and Rs 1,53,218 for the Rally Edition (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). Currently, the bookings for the Rally Edition have been put on hold.

Hero XPulse 200 features:

With the 4V update the motorcycle saw a bunch of subtle updates over the 2V variant. The LED headlamps are far better equipped in lighting up dark roads. It now comes with an optional Hero Connect that helps access several features, like tow alert, accident alert, last parked location, and geo-fencing. The Rally Edition trim gets handlebar risers, longer-travel adjustable suspension at both ends and a special Dakar bike-inspired livery.

Hero XPulse 200 engine:

The bike is powered by a 199.6cc 4-valve air and oil-cooled engine that makes 19.1PS at 8500rpm and 17.35Nm at 6500rpm. It uses a five-speed gearbox. With the 4V, Hero has optimised the oil-cooler, increasing the number of slats from seven to nine.

Hero XPulse 200 suspension & brakes:

The XPulse comes with a 37mm telescopic fork and a pre-load-adjustable rear monoshock. The braking setup comprises disc brakes at both ends that are bolstered with the inclusion of single-channel ABS. Its 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels come wrapped in dual-purpose tyres.

Hero XPulse 200 rivals:

The XPulse 200 doesn’t have any natural rivals as the next most affordable adventure bike that you can get is either the Royal Enfield Himalayan or the Suzuki V-Strom SX, both of which cost significantly more than the humble XPulse. For the same price, you can also get a TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.
